I have suffered with back problems in and of before I has my 1st child

I am now 23 weeks pregnant with my 2nd child, I somehow managed to pull my back this morning just by putting my Leggings on

I am in so much pain and I can barley move, let alone look after my 2 year old
I'm going to ring doctors in the morning but I'm assuming all I can take it paracetamol.

Currently have a hot water bottle lying on the sofa which is slightly easing it but as sook as I move I'm in agont again. Any suggestions please ? 😢😢

Going to ring doctors in the morning

Sorry, no suggestions but bumping for you

Paracetamol and ibuprofen will be suggested by the doctor. I slipped a disc halfway through my pregnancy and all I was offered at a&e was paracetamol. I was in huge amounts of pain and couldn't move at all.
Once I got out of hospital and it settled back into usual back pain I was given naproxen, amitriptyline, gabapentin and tramadol to use with paracetamol and ibuprofen by the GP (none of these helped much with the pain tbh).
I also had another medical issue with pain closer to when I gave birth and I was given oramorph, codeine and co-codamol amongst others. So the doctors can prescribe these while you're pregnant if you're in enough pain to warrant it. The only one they were worried about was codeine as they weren't sure if my baby could be born addicted to it but my baby was absolutely fine and was unaffected. They won't prescribe it if you are breast feeding though.

I spent a lot of time smothered in deep heat as I did find it helped (plus it smells amazing). A hot water bottle helped a little.

@PissedOffNeighbour22 thank you for your reply

I was always under the impression and told that things like ibuprofen and deep heat were not alloawd in pregnancy 🤷‍♀️😫 I will give the doctors a call in the morning to see what they can hopefully prescribe

I couldn't find any information whatsoever about why deep heat is supposedly not allowed. GP should be able to advise whether you're safe to use it, mine said it was fine to use at the time.
My GP said with medication to use as little as possible for as short a period as possible. Hopefully you'll be prescribed something to help but you'll probably have to make it very clear to them if you can't manage on paracetamol.

I had a c-section last week and was really shocked that they only give paracetamol unless you're in extreme pain and then you get 1 ibuprofen Shock.

You need to see an osteopath or physio, ice it in the meantime and take paracetamol, the ice will reduce the inflammation.
