Just been presecribed this beta blocker for my blood pressure at 28 weeks any experiences ?
Also have to have my bp checked weekly and have a 24 hour bp check on Friday.

Anyone have any experiences with this?

Labetalol? I had this, but my preeclampsia was only diagnosed when I was already in labour. Think I took it for about 8 weeks after the birth and by that point my BP was back where they wanted it to be. It’s all a bit vague now (7 years later) but I know it’s commonly used in pregnancy so try not to worry. Hope you feel ok.

If it is labetelol, I am on it and have been since start of pregnancy (I have pre existing hypertension), currently on the middle dose mid pregnancy but I'm expecting it to go up to the maximum plus a secondary medication :-( as that's what happened last time. I have a chronic condition which causes my bp to be high.
I've never had any issues with labetelol and neither has my baby in this pregnancy nor the last. I took it for a while after the birth too and had no problems while breastfeeding.

Do you have any particular concerns?

Yes it is that, and just read that it can have cause pre term labour and have problems with babies growth ?

I am going to take it as I know it's what's best just wondered if any of the above was true x
