I would yes, they didn't do anything out the ordinary but I was seen on time, staff were friendly, they seemed to know what they were doing etc.

Ultrasound Direct in Edgbaston

Window to the Womb, Kingstanding. They were really nice

I can highly recommend Cherish-UK in Sutton Coldfield, the lady who runs it used to run the emergency gynae dept at good hope hospital and left to focus on private work. So knowledgeable and explain everything in detail, you get a report and lots of pics too. Scans are £80 for early reassurance and then £60 for any follow up, they have a website you can book on. I’ve been there 6/7 times with various pregnancies and they’ve always been absolutely fantastic.

I would not recommend peek a baby, I’ve been there twice, once with a missed miscarriage which they handled terribly. The sonographer couldn’t explain what was going on, and hurried me out with a picture of my empty sac and told me to call my midwife, no further explanation. I gave them another shot with my next pregnancy and they told me that my placenta was very low and completely blocking the exit! I had an emergency scan with the nhs 3 days later and they said it was a load of rubbish, placenta was right up out of the way!!

Window to the womb in kingstanding were good when I went for a 4d scan in 2018, they couldn’t get good pics due to position of baby but had me back for a free rescan.

But overall, for peace of mind and reassurance I would recommend cherish-uk above all.

Long time ago but MUMS in Solihull were great

badservice · 07/02/2022 21:34

I'v used MUMS quite a few times and been really happy with them.

Didiusfalco · 07/02/2022 21:36

MUMs in solihull if you want a proper anomaly scan and not just a look at the baby.

Another vote for Cherish! If you want reassurance then you want someone who actually knows what they re talking about imo.
I ve heard horror stories of people going to places like Window to the Womb and being told all is fine, then at the NHS scan, it’s not been fine. 😣
I also had a Anomaly scan at Ultrasound direct in Edgbaston. I think (can’t speak for all) the sonographers tend to work for the NHS in their day job so again, know what they re looking at and what they re talking about.

doingitforthegirls · 22/04/2022 20:39

MUMS in Solihull is a private maternity services clinic and is actually staffed by consultants and sonographers who also work at Heartlands and other local hospitals so you are getting a much more medical / diagnostic service - their scans/blood tests even link into Heartlands system as when I was paying for hcg blood tests during what ended up being a miscarriage the results were fed into heartlands miscarriage clinic

Merryclaire · 23/04/2022 06:37

I would back up others who say MUMs in Solihull is great. Offer a good range of services. I used them for Panorama test too.

Poopootatty · 23/04/2022 06:51

ultrasound direct have always been excellent. The scanners there are usually NHS workers doing additional private work and on occasion I’ve seen them again during an nhs appointment. They would be my first choice.

Cherish have also been good. They really supported me at a tough time too.
