Anyone else expecting their third?

Just wondering if there is anyone else out there who's mad enough to have been TTC number 3. I got my bfp last week, currently 4+4 and feeling a whole raft of emotions. No symptoms whatsoever ATM which is strange as I was nauseous and had the nose of a bloodhound instantly in previous pregnancies. I'm trying to tell myself all is ok although abit nervous after some chemicals and an early MC last year... I will regret worrying as soon as the sickness starts no doubt 🤣

Anyone else in a similar position?

Oh gosh for some reason I lost this thread. Hi everyone 🙂 I'm glad I'm not the only one expecting number 3. Congratulations 🥳

I hope everyone is doing ok?

I'm now 6+3 and the nausea had arrived in gusto. I've spent the weekend pretty much propped up on the sofa whilst my DH chased the boys (2 and 4yo) I feel terrible, like I'm failing tbh, but just trying to focus on getting through the next month or so until the symptoms ease. Please god let them ease....

I haven't booked an early scan. I've toyed with it but i think I may just wait til 12 weeks. I feel so much more worried about this little one though so it doesn't make sense really. I think I'm burying my head in the sand. I guess I feel so lucky to have two healthy children I worry I'm trying to push my luck and something will go wrong this time.

Hope you are all coping. Any tips on nausea control would be wonderful 😜

Sorry to hear you feeling rotten but least you have some comfort that the pregnancy is progressing how you expected.

I tried everything, some things below help in limited amounts:

Banana
Lucozade
Crackers
Toast

Ginger did nothing at all except make me feel terrible.

But ultimately it was tablets that stopped be vomiting. I wish I'd tried to get them sooner as apparently the earlier to catch extreme morning sickness thr better the medication is at keeping on top of it.

Hi @Tandabear fingers crossed for you you have one of those dream pregnancies with no symptoms!!

DH has been quite quiet tbh. He's not unhappy about it I think he's just waiting for the 12 week mark too. He was concerned before getting the bfp how I would cope with the two boys and being Pg again so I guess me now becoming poorly has just brought to life his concerns. I just have everything crossed it only lasts til 12 weeks.

I think we will always worry about money tbh. We should be ok in theory but the gas thing isn't helpful for sure. We have a three bed so no idea if we will need to move in the future or extend...lots to think about !

Me! My kids will be 4 and 5 when baby is born. I am scared but excited. Once baby is out I'm having my tubes tied because I never want to do this again Grin

13 weeks with surprise #3. Well #4 but dd1 died so will have three to look after! DTs will be 2y4m when baby arrives….

EverydayIsPJday · 06/02/2022 20:44

@Tandabear yes I understand what you mean about being heart led. I thought we were done but I'd always wanted more. DH was clear that three would be much tricker. Then we had a MMC of an unplanned baby last year whilst still bfeeding (so no missed period) and I guess I've now not got over the thought of a third.

We also can't extend any time soon, I work part time ATM and wouldn't want to change that of I can. I'm hoping it's something we can review when the kids are older.

@CaMePlaitPas I am debating the same thing! All going well I do not want to go through another pregnancy, it's so so tough and I don't have any extreme symptoms compared to some women. I hope your are ok?

@Rrrob congratulations and welcome 🙂. I am so very sorry to hear of your loss. 13 weeks is a good chunk in, I hope you are feeling ok.

@Tandabear and @EverydayIsPJday thank you! Feeling much better than the last few weeks. The tiredness/ backache/ heartburn/ nausea is finally going.
