I think it depends on how much you put on through pregnancy.

13lbs is a lot in 2.5 weeks (they suggest 2/3 lbs a week is about right on a normal diet) however a lot of the 13lbs would be baby/ water / placenta.

I found in the first 8 weeks I did loose a lot but I was breastfeeding which I was told helps with weight loss .

Please don't put yourself under pressure and worry right now about weight loss, let yourself get back to normal then think about in 6-8 weeks.

I think you need to give yourself a break. It was a year for me before I was back to totally normal.

Lost about a stone instantly - baby, waters etc. Then lost another two pounds in the first couple of weeks.
Then nothing for three months, because I ate the extra BF calories Grin Now I've started eating normally again the last two weeks and it is starting to come off now.

Lost a lot in 5 months. Went up 6 dress sizes, back to normal after 8 months or so, no special dieting or excercises. You'll be fine.
