DD1 9 days late; DD 2 coming when????

Obviously, it could be anything, but DD1 (quite small) came 9 days later after 2 sweeps and less than 12 hours before induction. I know 2nd (and later) babes normally come earlier than the first, and also that vast majority of babies are born before due date. Pregnancy been straight forward, and DD2 likely to be bigger than DD1 but not enormous.
DD2 due in 3 1/2 weeks.
Am I likely to go overdue again, but not so overdue as last time?
As I said, I do understand, anything is possible.....

DS1 was 10 days late, DS2 was 5 days early.

I’ve been thinking the same thing. My first was 10 days late and I’m at 39 weeks with my second. I’ve been hearing a lot about second babies coming even later that the first, which Isn’t giving me much hope!

I would love that to happen! Really didn't enjoy being overdue, and having a toddler won't improve it.

Hmm I think later babies coming early is a bit of a myth. I looked into it a lot when I had my second. Also I don't think the vast majority come early of their own accord (I.e. no c-section or induction).

In my case:
DD1 8 days late, born 9am
DD2 8 days late, born 5am, so kind of 4 hours earlier!

Sorry that's probably not what you wanted to hear, but it helped me to manage my expectations.

everyday of those 10 days was torture, not knowing what would happen! it was such a relief when DS2 arrived sooner than expected and very quickly too. fingers crossed for you!

also both were spontaneous births

My first was 5 days late, second 2 days late.

I was almost 2 weeks over with my first, now due my second and the midwife doesn't think I'll go naturally again ( I have a section booked 40 + 1). She says she's found if you went considerably over you tend to have longer gestations.
