Hello, I'm just looking for a bit of advice to be honest, on the 6th of January I got two faint positive pregnancy tests, after that I got another 4 positives and I done another one today and it's still a very faint line on this. I brought a freedom Tesco test and that is negative from what I can see but I'm so confused. These lines turn up within the test window also. I had my "period" 3 days ago and only lasted about 3/4 days and I am usually heavier, i then yesterday bled a little bit brown, TMI I'm sorry.
I'm just so confused on what to do, I've had some symptoms and I'm scared that I am and it just isn't showing?
Update I done a boots test and nothings come up, should I just stop testing???

Hey lovely, if you're pregnant the tests will get progressively darker with unmistakable lines. Around 12-14 days past ovulation, you'd get dark enough lines to see. Xx

Hey, yea if you think you've already had your period? If you think you're pregnant now, then test ever day and see if a line appears. Good luck! Xx

My god this threat is full of confusion... I'm assuming you're very young.. and not trying to get pregnant

You can't ovulate if you're already pregnant....
Also you had your period 3 days ago so stop stressing and take it as it is and that you're not pregnant x if you were the tests would show darker lines, many of them show those very faint positives and mean nothing x
Still if very very worried get yourself to sexual clinic its anonymous noone has to know x

And I know that but I'm just saying I'm meant to be in 7 days and again it wasn't like my normal period.

When people say 'post ovulation' they mean ovulation for the cycle you think you got pregnant on, so ovulation last month, before the 'period'.

If you were pregnant and you have already 'missed' your period you should have really strong, obvious lines by now.

Have you had a covid jab/booster recently? Could be the reason for the funny period? I know lots of people (me included) have had minor menstrual disturbances.

So you first tested positive about two weeks ago and your bleed began about a week after that and we’re now around a week on from your bleed. So if you are pregnant you should be somewhere around 6 weeks. At 6 weeks the tests should be strongly positive. I’d say there are maybe two possibilities. One is that you were briefly pregnant but it didn’t work out and your light bleed was a very early miscarriage. It’s really common for this to happen — these are often referred to as ‘chemical pregnancies’ — and absolutely does not mean anything nag about your future chances. The other possibility is that you actually fell pregnant in your previous cycle (making you around 10 weeks now) but you have a bleed roughly when your period would have been. The reason this might theoretically throw negative tests is that (weirdly) the tests get overloaded if hcg levels are very high (as they are by 10 weeks). One way to test this is to water down your wee before dipping the stick. If I were you I’d call your GP. I guess there’s a faint possibility of an ectopic pregnancy as these produce only very faint positives on tests and can cause bleeding. Ectopics can be dangerous, which is why I recommend calling GP.

Okay yes I understand, thank you, I will contact my GP x

Hi!

Also not sure how to interpret my pregnancy test results. My periods are irregular so really tricky to know when to start testing. Was predicted AF would start yesterday (25th Jan). I’ve been testing for the last 4 days and the lines don’t seem to be getting much darker. I’ve been having cramps and feel bloated. Worried I’m getting lots of false positives! What do you think from the photos? All photos taken within the time they should be (eg within 3-10 mins or at 5 mins). Also scared of the FR tests as heard of horror stories about false positives. I have a history of ovarian cysts but on my last scan none were seen so hopefully it isn’t down to that. Going to keep testing but driving myself a bit mad! Any thoughts would be great 😊 thanks x

These are all positive @Totoro1234. How far apart were they taken in time? The best thing to do is get several tests of same brand and take them every 2 days, first thing in the morning. If a viable pregnancy they should get stronger in colour. You can't compare different brands or different times of day

Totoro1234 · 26/01/2022 18:03

Hi, thanks for getting back to me. They were taken a day apart all done in the morning. It’ll only let me upload 3 pics but the FR tests all seem to be a similar colour/ don’t seem to be getting noticeably darker. If I I am pregnant we must have conceived on the 8th or 9th Jan so I’m now approx 16 days post ovulation. Just really hoping for that really clear dark line/ positive! Will wait a few days and try again. Also keep seeing lots of stories about false positives.

TheDaydreamBelievers · 26/01/2022 18:04

@Totoro1234 those are all too clear for a false positive but sadly if they don't get any darker then it may not be a viable pregnancy. Keep an eye out for any discomfort in case of an ectopic and if lines lighten or you have a bleed it may be a chemical pregnancy x

Totoro1234 · 26/01/2022 18:09

Thanks for the advice Smile I have been getting intermittent tummy cramps but nothing severe/ that would indicate an ectopic. Hoping I just ovulated later than I thought and it’s taking a little longer for the HCG to ramp up.
