I'm currently 13w pregnant and would love to take a final pre-baby holiday (or "babymoon" but I hate that term!) this spring but am unsure if its a good idea due to covid etc. Is anyone else travelling abroad for a pre-baby holiday over the next few months and where are you going?
I actually already have a trip booked to Switzerland (booked pre-pregnancy) and am considering whether to go on this or not. I think I could still do most of the things we were planning except going to some of the highest altitude peaks. I'm a bit concerned the Omicron wave will not have passed by then and there will be a high chance of catching covid. Plus the trip we planned has quite a bit of travelling around and may not be relaxing enough.
There may also be the option to change flights within Easyjet's network so we could consider somewhere else. I love swimming in the sea and would kill to have one more chance before the baby is born but in late March I would guess only the Canary Islands or somewhere outside Europe like Dubai would be warm enough.
An easier option would be to just travel in the UK by car but mid-late March is the best time for us to travel (after 20w scan and before I get too big) but the weather is usually still quite crappy in the UK at that time so not sure how enjoyable an entended 2 week trip would be.
What would you do if these were the options?
