IUI - To medicate or not to medicate? That is the question..

What did you do? Fully natural? Just trigger shot? Fully medicated? Really struggling with this decision. Any success stories helpful. Feel free to throw in the time from trigger to insemination if you triggered. xx

We went down the medicated route (Letrozole) as it increased the odds (to ideally get 3 follicles ready for ovulation) and then triggered the morning before the insemination (which was 2pm the next day). Fell pregnant first attempt. Good luck!

I'm reading such mixed storied about how long after trigger insemination was. I wonder if it differs from medicated to unmedicated. Thanks for answering. Anyone else?

I didn't end up having IUI as dr wanted us to try Letrozole first (newer and better than clomid), and follicle tracking with timed intercourse.

VERY sceptical but we conceived on the first cycle doing it his- I'm now 16+5!!

Doing it his way*

Don't know if this helps, but if you haven't tried letrozole I'd ask for it.

I'd be lucky if that worked, I don't have a partner! I'm doing it on my own using donor sperm.

Thank you foe for answering and congrats. Anyone else able to share?

Hi, we did 2 IUI’s first one didn’t work, second one the following month worked and I’m feeding my 5 month old son now as a result from that IUI.
I was medicated even though the issues were more with my husband the clinic told me that was the best route. I was on tamoxifen, gonal f, cetrotide and crinone.
I triggered at 6.30 am on the Thursday and had my IUI at 1430 on the Friday
