Miscarriage - when can we try again?

I had a miscarriage a week ago today at around 9 weeks. It lead to me being admitted to hospital due to high blood loss and a high heart rate. I had some tissue removed during a cervical exam twice. They sent me home the next day without the need for surgery and told me to take a pregnancy test 2 weeks later to confirm all the tissue had gone. I have also had some pregnancy tissue sent for analysis but I haven't heard back yet.

I know everyone copes with miscarriage differently and some like to wait to try again. My husband and I have discussed it a lot and we are both keen to try again as soon as possible.

My bleeding stopped on Monday and since then I have had a bit of brown discharge yesterday but otherwise it has been clear.

I took a pregnancy test today which has a very faint line. It says online that you can ovulate as soon as 2 weeks after miscarriage. I bought some ovulation sticks but I haven't used them yet.

When do you think it's safe for us to start trying again? I don't want to risk getting an infection, but I don't want to miss our window either. The advice online isn't clear, and I know bleeding can stop and start, but it's been 3 days now and nothing.

If anyone has any personal experiences I'd be really grateful. I feel like the thought of trying again is the only thing keeping me going at the moment.

Thanks x

@Honeymint aww I'm so happy for you, that's wonderful news! I hope everything goes well for you :)

Ok thank you! I wasn't told how long it would take so I imagine you're right and they're quite busy and not sure themselves of the timeline. I will certainly chase it up in a couple of weeks if I haven't heard anything.

I have yes @Nellie1027. He basically told me to wait and see. I asked him to do a further hcg test which he agreed so i will have that on monday. If it has more than doubled i will hold on to some hope but if not i know that this little one is going to meet its sibling.

We shall see.

Thank you for your kind positive words.

I hope that whenever you do try again it will be successful. Sending love xx
