24 weeks and bump feels tender and bruised

So this has been happening the last few days I've noticed and my bump feels tender at some points of the day. Can only describe as a bruised feeling. Doesn't happen all day, but happens as the day gets on. I've text my midwife and she's not responded, but today I've noticed it's really sore to the touch. Is this normal? I presume it's just stretching as I'm getting further along?

Omg I'm 25 weeks and could've written this myself!!!! I am seeing midwife tomorrow so will ask the question .. it's only on one patch! Weird! I will report back with what my midwife says!

Please let me know what your midwife says. Mine is on my left said and it just feels uncomfortable. I don't know if that's where the baby is mostly laying and that's the reason. But my god it feels tender

You can call your MAU and speak to them - you don’t need to wait for the midwife to get back to you or for a poster here to get back to you x

Please don’t text your midwife, she could be on a day off or a week off. Any concerns ring the hospital

I'm on a late night shift tonight. So when I finish I'm going to ring triage I think. For peace of mind if anything

Update on this thread. Rang triage and they said they aren't worried and as long as I'm not in pain it's just uncomfortable to just keep an eye on it. I've not had the feeling today so it's not constant. But thank you ladies.

I really need to get myself out of the mindset that I'm being dramatic or ringing up is a burden. First time mum, first time worries

I have 3 points which are “tender spots”, one at top of bump and two below bump kind of where ovaries would be if I weren’t pregnant!

Had it since about 23 weeks, now 34. Comes and goes but all been fine on scans and checks etc

I was always nervous and on the phone to MAU OP, it’s pretty common to worry a lot, esp for first time mums.

Right at the end of my pregnancy, I felt something wasn’t quite right so I went in for checking. I had pre-eclampsia and I was in labour… when in doubt, get checked out!

Also, glad your mind is now at ease. I think it’s always best to check with the midwives at your hospital. I made it my policy to never ask the internet anything 😆🙊
