Third trimester weight gain

So, I’m near on 32 weeks pregnant, I have suffered from hyperemesis which is mainly controlled now, I lost nearly 2 stone overall from the sickness, I gained about 10lb of that back now the sickness is more under control and my tablets are right etc.. anyways… the past few days I’ve weighed myself and I’m literally putting on a lb every day. I know I shouldn’t weigh myself every day as weight fluctuates etc but mine is literally only going up 🤣 I’m already overweight so don’t want to put on unnecessary weight.. has anyone else had this?

I've reported 2kankhunt42 a couple of times now.
OP, sorry you've had to deal with one awful troll as your first response- ignore!
Re your question; now is not the time to worry about weight gain, especially as you lost so much in early pregnancy. Weigh yourself once a week and if you are still worried mention it to your MW.
Congratulations on your pregnancy, best of luck 😊

I had similar happen in my last pregnancy in that I lost a lot at the start due to sickness, then plateud got about 10 weeks until I started to gain quite rapidly towards the end.

I’d echo everyone else’s thoughts and say don’t worry about it. It will even out, a lot of the gain is probably to do with you being less dehydrated now you’re not sick, baby gaining pounds ready to be born etc. It’s also very normal to retain some water near the end of pregnancy (I’m currently 34 weeks. Not gained any ‘weight’ yet but so swollen I’m struggling to get my wedding ring on or my normal shoes!).

Weigh yourself once per week and if in 2 weeks time you truly have gained 14 pounds then I’d speak to your midwife Grin but I’m sure that won’t happen. X

I didn’t see their messages as only just logged back onto mumsnet now 🤷🏽‍♀️

I expected gain but I feel like it’s excessive to be happening so fast 🙈 thank you for your message ♥️
