FTM here & fully expecting to still be waiting looong after my due date...

But, went for a walk this evening & came home only to welcome what definitely felt like strong & tightening period pains really low down. They were irregular, but I kept bouncing on that feckin' ball. They're less obvious now but there's still a lot of pressure low down & still feeling something every so often....but it was all a bit anti climactic! Paired with feeling really off & nauseous all day I though things might have been beginning to start. I'm now wondering if they may just have been BH contractions? (Pretty sure I've never felt them before....definitely not like that anyway!)

It's all different for everyone I suppose, so just venting I guess... ho hum!

Don't bounce the ball. You're supposed to roll a figure of 8.

But if your half the size I was you'll need a team of scaffolds to keep you upright Grin

All the best for when it does happen. Star

@Mabelhc I'm 37+1 and have had an upset stomach the last few days and tightenings but all gone quiet again today so I feel your frustration for the anti climax 😬

It's so different for everyone, but it could be time now for you :) all mine came early, including my first, all natural labour starts. So you won't necessarily go over. I found that busying myself with jobs, or finding something distracting, like a movie, sleep, or meeting up with someone helped, as when I had braxton hicks, they'd disappear when I wasn't concentrating on them. Otherwise I scrutinised every twinge! Then when the real thing comes, even if you try to distract yourself, it becomes increasingly apparent that there is no way you can ignore it anymore :)

Good luck, and I hope all goes well!

I had my first baby in June. My waters broke at 5.30am on 37+6, first contraction at 10.30pm and DD born at 12.50pm on 38w exactly! So it's always possible. Good luck for a smooth labour and delivery! Flowers
