Hi ladies
This is my first pregnancy, and I'm around 10 weeks and 6 days. I've had retching and nausea since 6 weeks, it was bareable at 6 weeks but now it's relentless.

I've only thrown up once but I cannot go from my bedroom to my bathroom without retching, any type of motion sets me off. I'm so fed up of this and I don't know how to make it stop or if it will ever go away. I'm in tears writing this.
I've tried cyclizine, it doesn't do anything. I've tried seabands and ginger...nothing is working. Has anyone experienced this?

Have you tried sipping ice cold Diet Coke ?
And I mean a sip every time you feel nauseous, not a drink.

Yes, it's dreadful. It's the same every pregnancy for me (I'm pregnant with my third and can't stop wretching, I'm in my first trimester too). The only thing that stopped it was time, I know that's not helpful though.

Other than that crackers and sips of lemonade.

I had 2 different anti-sickness/nausea tablets.

1 was Cyclizine, which did nothing. The second was Promethazine, which is used for travel sickness and it was amazing - recommended for motion problems.

I only ever had nausea and no sickness, but was prescribed the meds as I found it really debilitating. You can get Promethazine over the counter under the brand name Phergan, but they won't give them to you without a prescription if you say you're pregnant.
