Hi, just hoping that someone may have experienced similar to me and be able to offer advice.
I've not had a period for 17 weeks now. The most I have is 2 days a month MAXIMUM of bleeding, whereas previously my period was very heavy for at least a week.
I've had around 11 negative pregnancy tests, both at home and at the doctors, and last Sunday I had an ultrasound which also showed as normal (no baby, no cysts etc).
Oestrogen and testosterone levels are fine, I've been tested for PCOS, diabetes, liver issues, kidney issues, etc. all tests have come back as normal with no further action required.
I've been to my GP around 2-3 time a week for nearly two months now. He prescribed anti sickness medication and heartburn medication - the former didn't really have much effect but I was willing to try it as I have been having awful nausea and vomiting, the latter I definitely did not need as I have only experienced heartburn twice in my life. I took the medication for approx 3 days and had a terrible allergic reaction to it, which caused the skin on my legs to "burn" off in patches and left me with horrific burn-like blisters. My GP misdiagnosed my allergic reaction as herpes and told me I couldn't return to the surgery until the issue had completely cleared up. I went to a sexual health clinic who did tests and confirmed I am clear of all STDs and was just reaction to the medication, prescribed antibiotics and I'm now nearly clear of blisters.
My GP wants to put me on a 10 day course of norothestirone (probably not spelt properly!) however I'm apprehensive due to the misdiagnoses he's given me twice now.
I've put on around a stone in weight recently but I'm still a healthy BMI so I haven't assumed it's anything weight related, although my stomach is definitely rounded and sensitive to touch.
Has anyone by chance experienced anything remotely similar - strong pregnancy symptoms for four months but no baby, and any advice for where to go from here? Thank you if you've read this far!
