How To Use Stretch Mark Oils...?

How does everyone else deal with applying stretch mark creams and oils twice a day? I mean, they're oily (!) and unless you wipe it off thoroughly before putting your clothes on you'll ruin your clothes... But wiping it off so soon after applying it surely doesn't give it time to really soften the skin. So I've been walking around in just my bra in the evenings strutting my oiled belly. Is that what everyone else is doing or is there something I'm missing?

@Cathpot someone on here suggested Bio Oil would help them fade, but I'm not sure myself about using a petroleum derived oil...

If the oils don’t really help I might just leave it as I’m trying to play it down and say ‘they’re just stretch marks they will fade’ . She doesn’t seem worried at the moment but it’s winter so she is covered up anyway. My husband has the same from his teenage grown spurt and they are still really visible on his back even though the colour has gone out of them. I feel for her- not the end of the world obviously but they are extensive and I don’t want her to end up self conscious about them.

@Cathpot yes it's a difficult one to handle. If she's not worried about it, buying her an oil might make her self-conscious. If she raises the subject herself then maybe suggest the oil. Some people swear by them for fading scars etc, at least she'll have tried.

Yes, that’s a good plan
