34 weeks and period type pains

I've been having period type pains the last week or so (I'm 35 weeks on Monday) I spoke to the midwife who didn't seem concerned at all but they can be pretty painful, although not regular. Sad Baby kicking away fine - anyone else?

It's probably the beginning of braxton hicks, or just everything stretching. Pregnancy gets pretty uncomfortable in the last trimester. Midwife isn't concerned because it's very normal Flowers

I vividly remember saying to a friend that I'd never complain about periods pains again. I think I was at roughly the same stage as you.

Bumping again for you

I've had period pains on and off since 34 weeks and my baby is now overdue 😬 I did go in for monitoring once with them and the tightenings were picked up on the monitor but everything was completely closed cervix-wise.

Thanks everyone! I feel reassured now (not that the midwife didn't reassure me but it's always nice to see if others were in the same boat!) Just starting to feel very grumpy and big now Grin I haven't really had any pain all pregnancy so they just took me by surprise, if I didn't have a baby kicking away in there I would think I was due on any moment! Thank you again
