Pregnant with 3rd baby - unexpected

Hey,
This is my first time posting here.
I'm pregnant with mine and my partners 3rd baby, we have one 4 year old and one 7 month old. This 3rd baby is unexpected, I was taking contraceptive but these things happen I guess (was also on contraceptive with my first, am I just super fertile?!) My partner is super excited and would love a huge family.. for myself I would have preferred our youngest to be nearing school age... I guess I'm just looking for other people's experiences in having three kids, two semi-close I age? Our 4 year old is quite full on and needs a lot of time and attention and I have concerns that I won't be able to give her all the time she needs. Any similar stories or advice welcome

Your contraceptives failed twice? Are you sure they've not been tampered with? Or are you making a mistake in terms of taking them correctly? Some medicines do stop them working correctly, for example.

I'm sorry to hear you've been put in this position. I'm sure you'll make it work, but it would probably be worth investigating what went wrong so it doesn't happen again in future.

It happens! Speaking from experience. First pregnancy was a split condom after which I took a morning after pill. Still got pregnant (ended in miscarriage). Current pregnancy I was on the pill and yes, I was taking it responsibly, same time, never missed a day, not on any other medications etc.

I have nannied for families with three kids so close together, it really depends on what the kids are like and how disciplined they are as to how crazy it will be. Some it’s been a breeze, others it’s chaos. Best of luck!

Same thing happened to us. Have you been for a scan yet?? Turns out our unexpected 3rd pregnancy became our 3/4th - it was twins Grin (I can laugh about it now, 16 years later, but at the time it was terrifying).
