So basically I had a bit of pink spotting on and off the past couple of days, no pain, but I spoke to epu who agreed to scan me, we were what we thought was 6 weeks 2 days, so I went for the scan and all they could see was a 2mm sac, no yolk, no heartbeat, my periods generally go up until the 31-32 day mark and not the usual 21 days, so the sonographer said that my dates could be completely wrong I usually ovulate on around 19-21 days, my last period started 3rd oct, and she's booked me in for another scan in 10 days but its driving me insane, I'm so worried at the next scan there still won't be a yolk sac or baby, I also had my bloods done yesterday and my hcg was 781 is this good?

I'm just after a bit of guidance really as I really don't know how long gone I'd be, if anyone could work it out roughly on the dates I've given it may help put my mind at rest, I had my positive pregnancy test on 5th nov, which stated 1-2 weeks,

Please don't read and run.

If you use this is says that you are likely 6 weeks pregnant.
www.nhs.uk/pregnancy/finding-out/due-date-calculator/?day=3&month=10&year=2021&cycle_length=31#due-date-calculator
And looking at this, the HCG levels seems as though they could be a bit low, but that the variation is huge and a few days would make a big difference.

6 weeks is really early to scan, so even though it is so hard, I think you just have to wait and see how things go over the next couple of weeks till you can have a more definitive scan.
Keeping everything crossed for you.

@autumnvibes this is what I was going off originally, but the sonographer said that only works if your periods are regular at 21 days and with mine being 31-32days she said I couldn't use the formation of first day of last period x

Hi @Bethpaigeox

It's possible you are anywhere between 5 weeks and 6 weeks. If your cycle is 31/32 days it could be off +/ a couple of days

I found out I was pregnant at 3 weeks 3 days with what would have been a 32-day cycle that month. So you could have found out before 4 weeks.

I think because hcg is still under 1500 it's a positive sign that you saw anything at all on the scan. Usually, something is visible from 1000+

You will likely know more if you get another scan in 1 or 2 weeks. It would be better to hold on for two weeks but I know mentally that might be very tough.

@Phoenix2021

Thank you, they wanted to rebook me for 10 days so I've got my next scan in 9 days today, is 781 quite low for hcg then? I'm new to all of this, I'm having my bloods redone Sunday

Hi @Bethpaigeox

Its a little low for 6 weeks but not low for 5 weeks but what matters more is the doubling time which usually doubles every 2 to 3 days when you are in early pregnancy you can use a calculator like this one www.countdowntopregnancy.com/tools/beta_doubling_calculator.php

when you get the second blood test result just put in the numbers and times/dates and you will see if hcg is rising appropriately

@Phoenix2021 thank you so much for the help, I think whats making me worry more is its taken us 12 months to conceive and I spent the whole 12 months worried we couldn't and now we finally have I feel like I'm gonna lose it

Hi @Bethpaigeox

I can completely understand that after trying for so long you would be worried about losing a much-wanted pregnancy. I have previously had unexplained infertility so I know how it feels to try for a long time.
For the time being try to stay positive and distract yourself it's not easy but be kind to yourself.

I found it difficult to remain calm in early pregnancy but it's true what they say that if something bad will happen you can deal with it when it's confirmed, but for now you don't need to put yourself through unnecessary suffering.

Fingers crossed for a good outcome for you.
