Ive been bleeding a bit and its brown blood. Before i went to the toilet and noticed it i felt like your stomach feels when your period comes. Not pains or anything iyswim. Ive been lucky enough to get an appointment for this afternoon at the doctors. My scan and first antenatal appointment is not until next week. Is 13 weeks far enough on to be able to hear a heartbeat at the doctors? I dont know what the doctor will do but i was wondering if he would be able to find a heartbeat at 13 weeks or is this too early?

I went to the Hospital on Saturday afternoon and to cut a long story short the scan showed the baby measured 8 to 9 weeks with no heartbeat and i should have been 13 weeks the diagnosis is a missed miscarriage and I stayed in hospital overnight and had the D and C yesterday lunchtime and was home by the evening. I cant believe im not pregnant anymore. This weekend has been the worst in my life. This Wednesday was supposed to be my first scan but the Nurse at the hospital told me they would cancel it. Im relieved I was able to get A D & C the next day after the scan i dont know how i would have felt if i had to wait longer for it. I just feel so bad. I feel like i went to Hospital with a baby but now ive left the baby all alone up there even though its heart stopped beating weeks ago.

oh I am so sorry. You are in my thoughts. Be kind to your yourself and come on here for support when you need to. I had a missed mc at 12 weeks. I was abit naive and shocked I had had a scan at 10 weeks which showed my baby well and alive, I presumed because I had got to 12 weeks that I was home and dry. I really am sorry

Thank you for the messages. Sorry to hear of your loss also orangehead Its just not fair sometimes the way things turn out. I think i will find it tough in June when the baby would have been born. I just want the bleeding to go away and try and get back to normal a bit.

Yeh its not nice the time when your baby would of due. I knew instantly I just wouldnt want to be around so me and hub booked time off work start away, around my due date. I just couldnt imagine doing mundane things at work I knew I would be constantly thinking I shouldnt be here now. Nearer the time we decided we wanted to go away and booked a last minute holiday.. Alot of hospitals have miscarriage support groups, it might be something you dont feel like now but maybe in the future. It helped me but I hadnt heard of mn back then I wish I had. Take care of yourself
