Hi all!

I had a section on the 14th and they let me home yesterday (15th) as there was no reason to keep us in.

The section went perfectly and we actually had a lovely experience but for some reason I hadn't thought about what would happen when the spinal block wore off and wow... I am shocked at the pain!

How do you manage/what do you use to cope in those first couple of weeks? How do you sleep, any movement and I'm triggered. Baby kept us both up until 5am this morning and then I struggled getting into any position after she's finally got over as I'm wincing and whining all the time!

You’ll feel better everyday and by two weeks so much better!
If you take codeine take lactulose / you do not want constipation!!!

Don't miss any painkillers and I found sleeping on the sofa much easier to manoeuvre from lying to sitting and feeding. I found it much more comfortable to lie with my back again the v at the back. Gave me some support

They don’t prescribe anything anymore - but anything codeine based taken regularly can give constipation so make sure you take something safe if your breastfeeding (like lactulose) to keep everything moving!!!
