Cramps around 5-6 weeks

Hello, I've recently got the BFP I've been waiting for which is so exciting but I didn't realise how anxious I would feel, I think I'm about 5-6 weeks and I've booked an early scan for reassurance.
Has anyone else experienced like mild period cramping around this time? I honestly don't know if it's normal or I should worry?

I had period like cramping until about week 8 - I’m 20+6 now and all fine

Congrats! I felt exactly the same so booked an early scan too :) I was convinced I was about to come on my period before my BFP and then had period like cramping on and off up until around 14 weeks if I remember correctly. I’m 22 weeks now and all still going well!

@Pleasedontworry @Amtheyest17 thanks so much for replying, and congratulations on your pregnancy's. I think because it's my first I'm just going to worry till atleast the 12 weeks but it's reassuring to hear others have had the same sort of feeling.
I suppose I have to remember my body is Changing as is going to feel different! Early scan is in a few days I think that will put me at ease too xx

It’s my first too @CRA994 and I was exactly the same - I had hypermesis so fairly strong symptoms and I still booked two early scans to put my mind at rest 🙈 - it does get easier, I had my 20 week scan yesterday and although I was very anxious just before between the 12 week scan and 19 weeks I was much calmer.

@Pleasedontworry aw I'm glad I'm not the only one, thanks for the making me feel less crazy I've been really excited but really anxious and I didn't think I'd feel this way.
My symptoms are only just starting I've just got sore boobs and abit crampy and bloated but nothing too bad my early scan will hopefully tell me how far I actually am and put my mind at rest for the next few weeks.
