Do you think it had a detrimental impact on your pelvic floor?

Nope. I stopped when it just started to feel weird around 28 weeks but I kept up other exercise. I think it's more important not to start running again too soon afterwards. Listen to your body, do your pelvic floor exercises. My pelvic floor is fine post two full term vaginal deliveries and working out through pregnancy in both.

I ran until 32 weeks ish with my daughter i think. Pelvic floor was fine afterwards, i did use a supportive band when i got bigger which helped.

I second the pp about running afterwards, especially if breastfeeding because you are basically still a pile of jelly and could do more harm then good. My physio advised 20 weeks post partum i think.

Good luck! X

My first pregnancy I ran up until 7/8 months (but much less!) and think it probably helped with the birth keeping fit and healthy, however, I was in too much of a rush to try and get back into it afterwards which I think contributed to a slower pelvic floor recovery - so post birth give yourself appropriate time to recover, maybe sticking to weights to recover your core before hitting the pavement too soon.
