I had an iron transfusion 3 days ago due to low iron in pregnancy (2nd trimester). have felt so awful ever since, last night could not sleep at all with stomach pains, headache & sweats all over.. has anyone else experienced this?

I've had an iron infusion and didn't have any of those symptoms. I think you should ring the department that gave it to you and ask them -I know in rare cases there can be serious side effects. I wouldn't panic but I'd definitely follow up.

Agree with above - I had one two weeks ago and was tired that night but every day since I have felt better and better - maybe be worth getting checked over x

Is this the type where you're hooked up to a drip for a couple of hours? If so, I've had two of these and reacted badly to both of them. For me it was like getting the flu; really high temperature, headache and aching all over for a few days. The GP said they hadn't heard of people getting reactions but a friend who's dad had them regularly said it wasn't uncommon in their experience. I'd still have another if I needed it as the benefit far exceeded the downside. As others have said do get checked out if you're feeling unwell if only for peace of mind, but thought you might like to know that some people dont tolerate them especially well. Hope you're feeling better soon.
