Could I still be pregnant?

Hello there,
Just looking for honest opinions really. I had an early miscarriage 10 days ago. Or so I think i did. I was only a week or two pregnant and I started bleeding. HCG levels showed only 30 when it was happening.
I had a scan and it showed nothing just some blood in my uterus
Could it have been literally WAY too early and I could still be pregnant? Could the blood have hidden something on the scan?
I feel sick a lot, my boobs hurt, my back hurts and I'm really emotional.
Could my HCG levels rise again?
I didn't feel any of these symptoms when I found out I was pregnant.
Any advice please

Have you taken a new pregnancy test? If you were still pregnant, I would expect you to have a very clear result on a test 10 days later. It's not impossible to still be pregnant but I wouldn't get your hopes up. My hormones were all over the place after my miscarriages, even the early ones.

PeacefulDreams · 22/10/2021 12:17

Hello, did you have your HCG level checked again?

grace1991 · 22/10/2021 12:29

I haven't taken a new test as I thought there may still be a small amount of HCG in my urine from the original pregnancy. I'll take one today and see. I didn't have my blood taken again no as they discharged me and that was that. X

It's not impossible, It could have been a very early miscarriage or you may have had unexplained bleeding in pregnancy as your hcg was so low they definitely wouldn't see anything in the uterus with those levels.

If you're still pregnant a pregnancy test will be clearly positive at the stage, however a pregnancy might still be positive if it was an incomplete miscarriage.

Take a test and if it's positive they would see something in uterus within a week or two from now.

I have had two miscarriages though and after your hormones do be out of whack for at least a couple of months which could explain sore boobs, emotional feelings.

If you are looking to try to conceive your fertility is increased for the first 3 months after a loss.

Thanks for all your responses!
Just did a clear blue digital and it's a firm not pregnant!
Now the trying can really start as apparently you're really fertile now! WinkGrinBlush

@Phoenix2021
Dont Read into being super fertile after a miscarriage to much. I have had 4 miscarriages and 1 cp and took a year to fall pregnant each time after the first 3 losses. The 4th time I fell was 3 months after my 3rd miscarriage lost that in Feb and here I am still trying after that loss. Not saying this to make you feel bad just saying because in reality the more fertile after a loss is not always the case.

@Phoenix2021

OP I’m really sorry you had a loss and best of luck for trying again but it’s unnecessary to lash out at @Babyghirl. She’s had losses too and there’s nothing wrong with pointing out a reality that not everyone is super fertile after a miscarriage. It took me three months after, which still isn’t long but it wasn’t instantly after the miscarriage either, so just be prepared. Nothing wrong with anyone sharing experiences either way.

Babyghirl · 22/10/2021 15:27

@grace1991
Not meaning that to sound nagitive at all, I was told after every loss that your more fertile more so after the first and got my hopes up big time ended up on antidepressants after my first loss when I was pregnant again by the summer. I just don't like ladies being told that when it's not true for every one and it can get you down big time believe me been there.

Was just a please don't put pressure on yourself if it does not happen straight away, I'm on a ttc after miscarriage tread and all the ladies on that would tell you how much it got them down to.

Babyghirl · 22/10/2021 15:30

@WheelieBinPrincess
Thank you when you have been through it so many times and heard that phase everytime and the effect it has on your mh. You just don't like to see anybody getting there hopes on and see the affects if it does not happen straight away. 💐

WheelieBinPrincess · 22/10/2021 15:32
