How fast did you ovulate after early mc?

Hi all, so I had a mmc confirmed on first of October, the next day lost the baby, and today my bleeding seems very close to stopping. I just took a negative test (will test again tomorrow for consistency) but I want to know, how fast did you ovulate after? I have a ovulation kit so I want to start tracking, but I'm wondering do I start now? Or wait a week and then start, what were your experiences? Thank you

I'm so sorry for your loss. I had a miscarriage at 8 weeks last month. Bleeding started on the 11th September and continued for a week. I still had positive pregnancy tests for almost 2 weeks after the bleeding stopped, but was told by the EPU that it could take up to 3 weeks for it to come back negative. I started tracking my LH the week after the negative test (but my periods were very irregular before the MC, around 30-40 days) and I ovulated on the 7th October and just got my BFP a couple of days ago. Everyone's body is different, but it seems like my MC didn't have an impact on ovulation the next cycle.

Sorry for your loss. I had surgical management for a mc at around 10 weeks and ovulated again less than two weeks after (approx 12 days I think). Though I was waiting two weeks before we tried again because that’s what had been recommended so missed ovulation that month! If you feel up to it I wouldn’t wait… x

@Lala94 sorry for your loss also, I'm really hoping my bleeding stops soon! Did you finally get a negative the week after that initial positive you got? My positive line today was very faint so hoping by the end of next week I get negatives and then I can try again. Congrats on your bfp!! That's amazing news, genuinely hope you have a happy healthy pregnancy

@Oti21 sorry for your loss, I wish I'd had surgical just so everything was put in one go, I hate this dragging on, but the day after my scan everything happened naturally so just gotta wait some more 😭 yeah they told me to wait for first period but only because of dates, but I'm not doing that as I can work all that out myself as long as I'm precise with my testing and tracking. Are you waiting on your bfp now? Really hope you get it if that's what you're after

Sorry for your loss, take care of yourself. Had a chemical in July and fell pregnant after my period in August. I'm now 9+5 weeks x

Miller2021 · 20/10/2021 16:05

I had a delayed miscarriage confirmed on 16th July at around 9 weeks, had medical management and stopped bleeding by 25th July. I ovulated 9 days later, on 3rd August (2 weeks and 4 days after the miscarriage).

I'm very sorry for your loss, and I hope you're feeling resilient enough to try again. Best of luck.

@babyboybluex congratulations!! I just know you're going to have a wonderful rainbow baby

@Miller2021 my bleeding seems to be dragging! It's allllmkst gone, but sounds very positive that I may ovulate soon after it stops, provided I get a negative too! Thank you, I'm ready to try again, just so impatient 😅

It’s such a horrible time. My surgical management was straight forward but it took nearly 4 weeks for them to allow it which felt like forever at the time, as did the few weeks after whilst waiting for my period. Before it happened to me I was completely unaware of how long a mc can take.

I am 7 weeks pregnant (third cycle after miscarriage) and so far all good. I caved and used ovulation tests month I got pregnant because I wasn’t sure when I was ovulating. My periods are regular but it was slightly later than I believed so keep up with them if you’re not sure. I really hope you get a BFP soon x

Condolences. It depends... how far along were you with the mmc?

Never tracked ovulation. After our 3rd mc (at 8wk) I got bfp with our 3rd child 6 weeks after the bleeding started. I had a chemical pregnancy in November then bfp with our now 10wk old in December. We'd lost one in the July (5th) and it took a few weeks for tests to go negative with that one. My 1st mc was at 12wk, that one I got an infection so took over a month to settle. It can vary so much.

I am so sorry. I had a mmc in last November. Started tracking the ovulation after the bleeding stopped, but my hormones were all over the place. I also got extremely dried out (I never had to use ovulation tests before, I always knew from the cm). Took me until February to ovulate again and I got pregnant but ended up being a chemical pregnancy. In April I got pregnant now and I'm 28+4 with a little girl 🙂.
Just wanted to let you know not to ovulate for a while can be normal; internet is filled with stories about getting pregant straight away after mc so it can be stressful and worrying when ovulation doesn't happen. I also suggest using the cheap Amazon strips, they work very well!

Ugh, that sounds very frustrating. I was still getting positive tests 6 days after I stopped bleeding - tested negative 3 days later (I wasn't testing every day), and ovulated the next day.

I think it's pretty normal to feel impatient, especially if you're ready and waiting to try again!
