I am 7 weeks today and I went to the toilet and had pinky/ red blood when I wiped

I had this in my 1st pregnancy and all was fine, but I am still freaking out 😥😥

The early pregnancy clinic cannot see me till Monday either 😩

I have not had anymore since

Hi,

Sorry to ask, but we're you having bowel movement? I had this at about the same stage. I was constipated and that had irritated by cervix. It could be something like that, or the same can happen with sex, rather than anything to do with the baby.

Totally understand your panic and hope you're doing ok

Km12345 · 15/10/2021 11:49

@JuneySunshine I wasn't having a bowel moment although I have been constipated, no sex in a few days so I don't think it's that

Just going to take it easy until the scan , luckily I've had no more since

@Km12345 Think that's the best plan. From experience and seeing other posts on here there are so many explanations which are nothing to worry about.
Try not to Google and best of luck for Monday x

CurryandSnuggle · 15/10/2021 19:47

I’m sorry I have nothing of value to add, only to say that I am 7 weeks, spotting and have a pink hue to my discharge since yesterday, still happening today. No pain but worried!! Been referred to EPU but not until Tuesday. Ahhhh!!

andadietcoke · 15/10/2021 19:53

I had bleeding around the same point. I was terrified because I'd just had a mc. Apparently very common in multiple pregnancies because of all the stretching, and I had a cervical ectropian too. Fingers crossed for you.

CocaColaTruck1 · 15/10/2021 19:56

Exact same for me aswell as that stage

Bubbean · 15/10/2021 19:59

I had this with both my successful pregnancies. It is extremely common. Try and rest and relax and distract yourself if you can. I know it’s a hard hard wait x

Km12345 · 15/10/2021 20:28

Thank you all for your positive comment. I've had a few twinges in my belly this evening, but no more blood thankfully !! Just praying all goes well on Monday at the EPC! so rubbish that I have to go in on my own as well 😥

Aches and pulling are normal.
Can you pay for a private scan?

Km12345 · 15/10/2021 20:31

@CocaColaTruck1 we were going to pay for a private scan , but I had a look online and read thru tend to not do internal scans, and therefore it isn't as good this early on 🤷‍♀️ hopefully I can hold out till Monday, luckily my appointment is 1st thing Monday morning

So I've now just had done more bleeding, whole I was straining to do to the toilet as I've been constipated 😥😣 it was only there when I wiped after the bowel movement and no more since

CocaColaTruck1 · 16/10/2021 10:09

Constipation can cause some bleeding op.
Did you notice if it was from vagina or bum?

Km12345 · 16/10/2021 10:31

@CocaColaTruck1 it was dero from my vagina , but only happened when I was straining and no more since 😣 I've now booked a scan for this afternoon just for reassurance

All went well thank god and seen a little heart beat ❤❤ although they dated me at 6 weeks instead of 7

MovinOnUp · 16/10/2021 16:55

Glad it went well, Get on some laxatives and/or stool softeners to help with the constipation.

Km12345 · 16/10/2021 17:06

My mum has suggested prune juice! So I'm going to give that a go first and see how I get on

Good luck. I had an emergency internal scan at St Mary's Paddington where it was discovered i did not have baby at 7 weeks. Hope it goes better with you.

That’s wonderful. So reassuring to see a heartbeat.

@Km12345 Great news! Exercise and dried prunes and apricots work for me.
