Hey all.
I am just over 6 weeks pregnant with my first. Only me and my partner know as I’m not ready to tell my parents! Since I found out just before five weeks I had very sore boobs and the obvious missed period. Since then every day I’ve had cramps through out the day nothing severe I can carry on like normal but they are uncomfortable and I’m worried somethings wrong, I have registered with the hospital and I am waiting for a call. Today I woke up to some brown discharge, which had gotten less through the day it’s not on my liner only see it when I go for a wee and wipe, I also seem to have darker urine! I’m guessing I need to see my gp? But only some say cramping and some light bleeding/ brown discharge is normal so I don’t want to waste their time unless I really need too! Thank you!

You shouldn't feel like you're wasting anyone's time, that's literally what doctors are for.

I think what you're describing is quite normal but I personally would get in contact with someone as it's better safe than sorry. I'm not in the UK but I think you guys have early pregnancy units? Get in contact with somewhere like that in your area.

Thank you for the reply!
I’m going to try see my dr in the next few days due to feeling cold all the time like when I was anemic before soo will mention it all to him and see what he says! I also have fibromyalgia so it’s quite possible I’m just more sensitive to the normal pregnancy pains!

Cramping is a scary, but normal part of early pregnancy.

When I had a mc, it was heavy blood from the outset- just like a heavy period, not what your describing.

For your own peace of mind go and get it checked out though. It's probably just your body adjusting

I felt cold for most of the first trimester too. Definitely see your gp and be as assertive as you need to be. In pregnancy this often has to be fairly assertive!
