Heh? Was it refrigerated cold? Then it's totally fine. I wouldn't worry. It's fine.

Lullaby88 · 08/10/2021 00:58

I'd only worry if it'd been left out in heat for a couple of hours. And smelt off. That's when I'd worry.

ShrikeAttack · 08/10/2021 01:04

Of course you can eat cold cooked chicken, why do you think you can't?

Don't worry!

Go to any supermarket, any sandwich place and you can get a chicken sandwich - chicken and bacon, chicken and salad, coronation chicken... they're all cold. Cold, cooked chicken is fine. Presumably the chicken had been refrigerated after it had been cooked, and cooled down?

That’s fine! I’ve eaten a couple of ham/salami sandwiches although I know I shouldn’t. I’d murder for some Brie…

Ham and salami are fine I thought. You can't have cold cuts that have been sat out at a deli for hours, but prepacked ham etc from a supermarket which has been properly refrigerated is fine. The NHS website says that cold, prepacked meats are fine www.nhs.uk/pregnancy/keeping-well/foods-to-avoid/

You can have brie if it's been properly melted - bacon and brie toastie..... mmmm.......

timeisnotaline · 08/10/2021 08:56

Im in australia and ham etc is all verboten here 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️ I have been meaning to have a baked Brie though!!

@mumofmunchkin ham is fine but salami is but as it's cured not cooked. Ditto pepperoni, chorizo, Parma ham etc - all cured not cooked.

You can have it if heated to steaming hot though.

dementedpixie · 13/10/2021 13:30

You can also have cured meats if you freeze them for a few days before eating.

Cold chicken, ham, other pre packed cold meats are all fine too

Look at the NHS website for up to date safe advice for the UK. Safety advice is different in other countries (eg USA) because their food standards are lower than ours and so what is safe here, May it be safe in other countries

Aww relax and enjoy. The first time I visited my daughter after her DS was born, she just wanted some good bread with paté and camembert!
