Can cyclizine make you anxious?

Hi everyone I’ve been prescribed cyclizine for morning ( all day sickness) and so far it’s really helped take the edge off and I can finally function. I have noticed though I’m really anxious, feel very tense and on edge has anyone else suffered this?
I lost my first baby at full term so I’m aware it could just be that I’m anxious anyway but wondered if anyone else had experienced this with cyclizine?

I’m on cyclizine and haven’t found it’s made me more anxious? Not sure if it is one of the side effects listed?

I do feel very restless with it and that makes me anxious and antsy

All anti histamines make me very very tense and tetchy

I had an atrocious reaction to it. Anxiety doesn't begin to describe it. It was years ago now but I think I would have ended up in a psychiatric unit very quickly, had I stayed on it.

It gave me double vision.

I didn't feel that it impacted my anxiety but do you think that maybe the sickness/nausea etc could have been masking your anxiety, and that now those feelings are gone your anxiety is the prominent feeling?

I suffer from anxiety generally, and I don’t think cyclizine makes it any worse. But anxiety is listed amongst the side effects where they don’t know how common it is.

There are other anti sickness tablets the GP could prescribe instead?

Yes it can. I had a horrible reaction. Like a panic attack combined with restless legs syndrome. Can you ask your GP for an alternative?

Thankyou everyone, seems I’m not the only one. I will contact the GP to discuss other options. Maybe the sickness was masking my anxiety a little too.

I know this is an old thread but can I ask how long did it take for this to stop? Was prescribed anti sickness yesterday and a different antibiotic. Not sure which has caused it but this is exactly how I feel. Anxious, insomnia and restless legs.
