Hi everyone,

This is my first pregnancy and my first time posting on here.

I found out I was pregnant a few weeks ago and after some light spotting went for a scan at 6 weeks at my local EPAU. The consultant found a gestational sac measuring around 5mm and no cause for concern. She suggested I was more around 5 weeks and asked I come back in 10 days time. Since that scan I had some very light bleeding here and there but not what has seemed to be a miscarriage. I had the second scan this morning and a different consultant said I should have been seen at 14 days not 10. There is an empty gestational sac measuring at 14mm which although the growth is good, from the amount of googling I have been doing the fact that it is empty doesn't sound too good. She said that there was a small 'echo' which could possibly be the development of a yolk sac and so I am back in 4 days for another scan. She said she doesn't want to give false hope but doesn't want to write the pregnancy off yet. I am so confused and unsure how to feel. I find the unknown and waiting really hard to deal with. I wondered if anyone has any similar stories or experiences? X

@Kk123123
So you should now be about 6+3 if your last scan was ten days ago, should of at least seen the yolk sac and a heart beat by now. Hopefully it's just a slow grower and will catch up for your nxt scan.💚

Do you have an update OP?

Hello,

As suspected the third scan still showed an empty sac and I had a surgically managed miscarriage. We are now TTC again x
