Help am I loosing my pregnancy

Hi all, I got my BFP 10 days ago. Two days ago I started having sharp pains in my left side. I was 5 weeks pregnant. The drs queried ectopic so sent me in for an internal ultrasound. Firstly the dr said it was a pregnant of unknown location and ordered I had bloods taken to track my hcg levels. Today I went and my levels were 20,000 sat and the nurse said there they did find a small sack on the ultrasound that was taken 2 days ago I don't know why the dr said otherwise. Had my levels retested today and they didn't double but only increased by around 50% the nurse said this could be as my levels were so High to start with. But everything I read online says they usually rise a lot. I've also had some light red bleeding. The nurse said I would hear back in a few days about what the next step is. I feel like I know this is going to end bad and they are sugar coating it. Thanks

I was being checked for an ectopic pregnancy at the start, and the doctors told me my hcg level had to increase by 60% over 48 hours - they didn't..... but I'm almost 19 weeks pregnant now.

My first ultrasound (when my hcg was around 3500) they couldn't find anything, including the sack, so they said to expect the worst.

They continued with the blood tests for about a week, never increasing by 60%, but my next ultrasound at 7 weeks showed the baby in the right place, with her heart beating away.

I know it's tough, but good luck! It's terrible at the start until you can get a definite answer from an ultrasound x

@pizzaobsessed I'm as ok as I can be I guess. The bleeding was only very brief and haven't had anymore since. Will hear from consultant again tomorrow hopefully. It's all the unknowing that's hurts too. Ended up with an ambulance for my daughter this morning and hospital visit due to very bad croup. Not having a very good few days but I'll get through. When your HCG is already so high it doesn't double so quickly.
It isn't that helpful to Google, but i can't help it either.
I used this website to calm my nerves. It shows average doubling times for different levels of Hcg.

It is a lot of numbers. It's basically showing that once HCG gets as high as 20000 it is pretty common for it to take up to 5 days or more to double. If yours has gone up 50% over a couple of days then that seems to be right on track.

I have a scan in the morning now to confirm the outcome and see if there has been any development. Morning sickness and exhaustion has hit me like a bus this week so I'm hoping this is a good sign. I will update you ladies 💖

It was good news ladies. I had a hematoma on my gestational sack which has burst apparently so they could see baby and heartbeat. Thanks for all the support ❤️
