I had my scan and blood test on Wed AM and haven't heard anything yet, which I know is a good thing 🤞🤞 hownlong did it take for everyone's results to come back? Will they contact me at a weekend?

Thanks x

I think mine took about a week to come back in the post, I’m sure you’ll be fine!

Fagin99 · 25/09/2021 12:16

Mine took four days but I was warned it could take two weeks depending on how busy they are! Hold tight x

Fagin99 · 25/09/2021 12:17

P.S. it was a letter through the post so could potentially arrive on a Saturday x

PunchyPaprika · 25/09/2021 12:27

I had mine over 4 weeks ago and still heard nothing (Scotland).

Having been on the receiving end of both good and bad news..! Good news comes in the post about a week later, bad news they phone you very quickly, for us it was next working day.

Good luck, if you havent been contacted take that as good news!

Scirocco · 25/09/2021 13:15

I got mine at my 16 week appointment as they were all low risk.

Derbee · 25/09/2021 13:16

I had my scan last Friday (17th) and haven’t heard anything yet.

Trinacham · 25/09/2021 13:51

Got my low risk results in 5 days

Cheekymonkey3112 · 25/09/2021 16:10

Thank you all so much. I'm in Scotland and we use an app for notes. I presume the results (if low risk) will go onto the app instead of being posted. I don't think I got them posted to be with my son 4 years ago. I'm not sure whether they will put it on the app at the weekend or Monday because of a bank hol. Just need to wait it out and be thankful every day that passes 💗 thank you all xx

@Cheekymonkey3112 I think it’s pretty safe to take no news as good news in these circumstances. I was told that I’d be contacted by phone within 2 days if there was an issue. Although I’d like to know everything is ok, I just assume that no contact is a good thing. I’m sure you’ll be fine

Hunkydory99 · 25/09/2021 21:55

Good news results came by post maybe 2 weeks after tests. Bad news was a phone call 2 days later. I think they prioritise the high risk results so would assume no news is good news. Always good to check tho x

Cheekymonkey3112 · 25/09/2021 22:51

Thank you all x

Had mine on Friday and they said that if it came back as high risk I'd get a call within 2 working days, but if if was low risk I'd get a letter and if I hadn't received that within 2 weeks to call back and chase it up.

Elsbeth1 · 26/09/2021 12:15

I must be super lucky! I got mine the same day (results also done through an app)
However at my appointment they said I would either receive a call later on the same day (I'm guessing if it was bad news) or results on the app the same day

OM82 · 26/09/2021 13:40

I think it depends, I got my (high risk) results over a week after the scan by post along with an appointment for the following week to discuss next steps. That was Forth Valley health board. It was a shock because everything I'd read said bad news is a phone call within a few days.

Catconfusion · 26/09/2021 13:51

I had my scan and bloods taken on a Tuesday and got my low risk letter on the Saturday. I was told a high risk phone call would have been within 2/3 days. Good luck! x
