No breast growth - is this an issue?

Hi girls, I'm 20 weeks on Friday, and wondering why I'm still the same breast size. Will this be an issue when it comes to breast feeding or are small breasts still capable of feeding? 🤷🏻‍♀️

Small breasts feed babies fine, don’t worry!

Breast size during pregnancy does not impact your ability to breastfeed at all. My breasts didn't change at all during either of my pregnancies, and I very successfully breastfed both of my kids for 16 months each.

Do you have tuberous hypoplastic breasts? (Google it)
That is the condition that genuinely causes low milk supply and is characterised by no breast growth or changes during pregnancy and breastfeeding as well as the typical appearance. If not, you'll most likely be fine.

First pregnancy- not the slightest change in my breast whatsoever (no pain no growth nothing). This pregnancy breast bigger and awfully sore. Didn’t breast feed though and not going to this time either as it grossed me out but I don’t think the size matters anyway, good luck to you whatever happens

Hi op, I'm also 20 weeks on Friday ☺️ had some breast pain occasionally but nothing other than that

SundayTwizzle · 22/09/2021 08:40

Mine (small) didnt grow an inch and I'm sat here now breastfeeding my 5 week old Smile I was gutted because I always thought pregnancy would be a free boob job!

Flittingaboutagain · 22/09/2021 09:01

Mine didn't go up until 30 weeks. I'm now 2 sizes bigger feeding my baby and boy are they heavy now! I'm hoping they'll go back down when the time comes to stop breastfeeding but planning on keeping it going for a year.

HappyTimeTunnelDinosaur · 22/09/2021 09:03

Mine didn't change until after my baby was born, I don't think its anything to worry about.

Dipsydoodlenoodle · 22/09/2021 10:32

I barely noticed any change in mine either around that time. I'm now 31 weeks and they've since grown - not sure on size but they have certainly grown a bit.

😅 phew seems I'm not the only one that's on the petite edge of pregnancy

No issues at all - mine stayed the same with my son and I EBF to 6 months

So far the same again :) x

Mine didn’t grow much at all during pregnancy, and certainly not by 20 weeks. No probs BFing.

Needingsupportplease · 22/09/2021 12:02

With my first they didn't grow at all and my milk supply was insane! Currently 30 weeks with number 2 and they have grown abit but honestly don't worry! Size doesn't mean amount of milk/being able to feed x
