Advice please, 4-6 week early scan showed nothing!

Hi all,

After some advice please. I am between 4-6 weeks pregnant. 4 weeks going by ovulation date but 6 weeks going by LMP as I am irregular.

Had an early scan this morning after some bad pain yesterday, but nothing could be seen on the scan.

Had bloods taken & going back in 48 hrs for more bloods to establish if it’s ectopic / molar pregnancy.

Has anyone else been in this situation and have any advice/tips/support?

Well, if you know ovulation date then that is the relevant date and you're 4 weeks pregnant. LMP is only used because very few people can definitively identify their ovulation date. And there really is nothing to see at 4 weeks pregnant.

Just sit tight for a few weeks and see what happens.

Yes I have to agree 4 weeks is extremely early to see anything.
Will you get results of blood test today?

Thanks both. I wasn’t told my hCG but have to have them done again in 48 hrs to compare hCG levels which will establish if normal pregnancy/molar/ectopic. I’m just a bag of nerves & 48 hours feels so long to wait!
