Lump in breast, worried sick

I'm 31 weeks today & panicking as I've found a large, solid lump in my left breast. This pregnancy is my 3rd after 10 years TTC & 2 previous losses. It's not been an easy pregnancy as I've had numerous episodes of bleeding, PGP since 19 weeks requiring crutches & uncontrolled gestational diabetes which I've started insulin for this week.

I also have a serious mental health condition so am under the care of the perinatal mental health team as I am high risk of post partum psychosis.

Now I've found this lump & I'm just so worried. I know breast changes in pregnancy are common but can't help worrying that this is serious. I'm going to call my GP first thing on Monday & hopefully will get sent quickly. Just feeling like this is one thing too much to cope with right now.

Do speak to a medical professional, but it was around then my breasts started getting lumpy for milk production, so try to stay calm.

@MinesAPintOfTea thank you for your reply, hopefully it will be nothing serious. I'm going to spend tomorrow getting things ready in the babies nursery to take my mind off it until Monday.

Take a breath! Lumpy breasts in pregnancy can be quite normal. I had it last pregnancy and ended up getting a scan at the breast clinic. Go get checked but it’s probably completely fine

Be prepared that the gp will send you to the breast clinic. That’s just what they do even if they don’t think there’s anything wrong

@Itsbeen84yearss thank you, taking deep breaths now! The thought of the breast clinic is giving me some anxiety as I worked in the department for 10 years & know everyone who works there. Not many of them know I'm pregnant so it'll be a super awkward situation but I guess it's got to be done.
