Im currently 11 weeks pregnant and the tiredness is crazy, just certain times of the day. Apart from the obvious of taking a nap, anyone any tips on how to overcome it especially when at work

Food! I literally ate every hour for the first 15 weeks it was the only thing that kept me going. Also lots and lots of water/fluids

I found there was nothing much I could do, thankfully I was WFH during first trimester so I just slept as and when I could

As PP said though, food and fluid helps

Just sleep whenever you can! Not long until second trimester and hopefully you will start to feel much more energetic - I was great in second tri, now 35 weeks and exhausted all over again! x

I had the same, it went by 16 weeks (I'm 17 tomorrow). I would eat every hour, and sleep constantly.

Prior to getting pregnant I had to take sleeping pills to fall asleep every night, but when I got pregnant I would fall asleep instantly.

I'd finish work at 4pm, drive home and be asleep on the sofa by 4:30pm, my partner would wake me up for tea, I'd fall asleep again and then wake up around 10pm to walk to bed and fall asleep again 😂😂

Agree with all of the above! Im 33 weeks now and it's back again along with a load of other really fun symptoms! Defo enjoy the bit in the middle!

Hi, I am the same. 1st trimester & extreme tiredness. I wake up & look forward to sleeping again. I do sleep a lot.

I got my hemoglobin test done - It's 100. quite low. That could also be adding to the tiredness.

I'm now 18 weeks and have got extreme fatigue 😩 just want to sleep all the time. I've had survere sickness since week 5 so been feeling awful the whole way through but now I'm totally exhausted can hardly get out of bed it's ridiculous. Anyone else like this?

DH said I was basically dormant for the first trimester. Every time.

I couldn't do much about it, other than sleep (bed very early, afternoon naps at the weekends), and trust that it will pass

This!

37 weeks now and am totally different type of tired - just physically uncomfortable and shattered, but that first trimester was totally all consuming tiredness where I couldn't keep my eyes open!

Your body is doing so much creating another human, you just have to go with it as best you can and rest rest rest / sleep sleep sleep whenever you can x
