Hi girls, I don't know if I'm the only one feeling this right now, but I'm 18+4 today, and for some reason I have this crippling anxiety that I'll get bad news at the 20 week scan.

I don't know if it's because I haven't had a scan for a while, or if it's because I can't feel real kicks? Anybody help?

Totally normal. I’ve been nervous at every scan, just in case anything was flagged.

Me as well, mine is this week, and I'm so scared. Feel like I've had movement from about 16 weeks and nothing last day or two also, so that freaks me out as well. Even worse because I look obviously pregnant, so people keep congratulating me, and I just keep thinking of all the people ill have to I tell if it's bad news.

Don't know if it's normal or because of some anxiety from a 1st trimester loss found on a scan before

It's normal! I always end up booking a private scan at around 17 weeks because I can't stand the wait! Good luck with your pregnancy Flowers

I was the same, I hadn't felt anything. I might possibly have felt something, but I wasn't confident enough to say I'd felt baby move.

I held off from telling anyone who wasn't a very close friend/family until after the 20 week scan just in case.

At the 20 week scan, baby was asleep, at the previous one baby was wiggling around. But they told me it was all ok, so I just had to believe them.

I think it's a perfectly normal worry to have.

Totally normal to feel this way.

I have my 20 week scan this coming Friday... I have had 2 private scans along the way (early scan & gender scan) along with the 12 week scan. Also movement since about 15 weeks and especially a lot over the past week or two... but I am still absolutely terrified they're going to tell me that baby has some horrible ailment.

Pregnancy anxiety is rough at times. Try to take each day as it comes. Flowers Maybe try and book in a private scan for this week, so you have that extra reassurance on baby's well being before your 20 week scan in a few weeks time?

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 yes! For some reason when people are congratulating me, I'm not able to feel the excitement inside.. 🥺

@Dipsydoodlenoodle yes, a sleeping baby would scare me but as long as doctors are reassurance us mothers, we've got to trust their expertise

@expectinglittlebear yes I'm thinking to get a scan done soon
