Bloody nose every day while pregnant

Morning. I wake up almost everyday with a bloody nose and have done through most of my second trimester. It rarely actively bleeds, it just feels really bunged up and when I blow it or sneeze, sticky blood shoots out (sorry,TMI). Anyone else had this problem? I can find plenty of info on nose bleeds in pregnancy but almost nothing on daily nose blood. Going to doctor for routine check up next week so I will also ask then.

I had soo many nosebleeds when I was pregnant. Sometimes all I’d do is itch or rub my nose and it would bleed. You have much more blood when pregnant so it’s apparently pretty common. It stopped as soon as I gave birth.

I wouldn't overly worry, it is very common (annoying, but common)

MGee123 · 09/09/2021 07:14

Yes I had this, it's perfectly normal. You're much more vascular when pregnant and have much more blood circulating. Nothing to worry about.

Very common x

Yes, I also developed "acne" inside my nose while I was pregnant. My nose was uncomfortable for one reason or another through the whole thing. I used the Vicks inhaler thingy a lot.

Yes I had nosebleeds when pregnant.
Never before or since!

WhyOhWhyOhWhyyyy · 09/09/2021 07:24

Yes really normal, I’ve had this all throughout both pregnancies.

Doublechins · 09/09/2021 07:43

Had nosebleeds all through my first pregnancy

SunnySideUp2020 · 09/09/2021 07:49

Yup had it all along...

8dpwoah · 09/09/2021 07:58

Same here, less this time (which is odd as I'm on aspirin and I was expecting more!) but definitely need to blow my nose in the the morning and there's usually a bit of blood in it but no nosebleeds thankfully.

My BP is as low as ever so it's not that, I think it's just one of those things!

toystoyseverywhere · 09/09/2021 08:06

Yep I've been having these regularly! Literally sometimes all I need to do is rub nose and that starts it off!

Don't think I had it happen with my other ones but I do think it's just one of those weird pregnancy things! It is annoying at times, though!

toystoyseverywhere · 09/09/2021 08:07

Nothing wrong with speaking to your doctor about it if you're concerned at all though. Especially if you will be worrying otherwise

IAmWomxxnHearMeRoar · 09/09/2021 09:10

I had nosebleeds almost every day during the first trimester with my first child. Mentioned it to midwife who just said it was totally normal and nothing to worry about it. Some women sadly get symptoms continuing beyond first trimester.
I'm now 17 weeks pregnant with DD2, and I've had no nosebleeds at all this time, so don't let it worry you with any future plans you may have.

Amichelle84 · 09/09/2021 09:19

Really common. Mine did stop but I can't remember at what week

MiddleParking · 09/09/2021 09:24

Yes, constantly. Had a void PCR the other week because of it, and I’m sure my LFTs are probably all void as well, so that’s nice.

expectinglittlebear · 09/09/2021 10:49

Yes really common apparently! I have been getting them a lot too and it really worried me at first.

Literally had one last night, leaning over the oven to get the tray of food out for dinner... think the heat and steam from when I opened the door set it off... luckily somehow it managed to narrowly avoid the freshly cooked chicken Grin
