Bump dropped early in second pregnancy

Hi all,

I'm nearly 34 weeks pregnant with DC2 and my jump has dropped a lot in the last few days.
I know this can happen 2-4 weeks before labour in the first pregnancy but thought in subsequent pregnancies this doesn't usually happen until much closer to labour.

Any experience with this? Just wondering whether I should expect going a bit earlier this time round. With DC1 bump dropped at about 36/37 weeks and born at 39 weeks. I suppose it might also not mean anything?

Hi. I’m also 34 weeks and last week baby moved from transverse to head down so my bump too has dropped. Other than having some lightening crotch pains nothing interesting here to report! I don’t think it’s necessarily a sign they’re going to come early more they’re in a more suitable position for vaginal delivery

Thanks @Hunkydory99. I do wonder whether some women just carry low early but it doesn't mean anything. I suppose everyone is different and the "on average, 2-4 weeks before labour" advice doesn't apply to everyone.
