Short sharp lower abdominal pain. Should I be worried?

Hello

I'm exactly 8 weeks along and tonight I've started to get the most horrible pains in my stomach.

They are very short and sharp and tend to be right in the centre of my lower stomach.

I thought they might have been round ligament pains but I think I'm a little early for them and I read they are generally at the sides

Has anyone else experienced anything similar?

FYI: no bleeding, still experiencing sore boobs and morning sickness

I'm 20 weeks now and all through the pregnancy I've suffered with sharp pains. Most of them I felt early on and then it started to ease at around 16 weeks. Now most of my sharp pains are from wind. I think it's just your bodies response to pregnancy. Unless you've got other symptoms e.g blood or a urine infection/unusual discharge, I wouldn't worry too much about it.

19 weeks and suffered from all sorts of weird, sharp, sudden pains. OBGYN doesn't seem worried, so...

I had this with my first pregnancy. Midwife told me it was my womb stretching and changing. She was never concerned about it.
