I have taken another ovulation test this morning and I have got two very strong lines, on the pre mom app I upload my tests to it says its a high reading, why could this be? I ovulated on the 29th.

I will attach a picture of my tests.

My ovulation test sticks were what made me do a pregnancy test.

@CornishTiger I think it's too early for me to test yet but I'm just concerned as to why my ovulation test this morning is high when yesterday both tests were low and I had my peak the day before that 🤷‍♀️

What point did you test? I don't think ovulation tests can detect early pregnancy can they?

My ovulation test was also high which made me do a pregnancy test but agree you wouldn’t be tested positive if you only ovulated on the 29th. I do remember my ovulation tests being a bit hit and miss so I would just do the deed whenever you get a peek/high test so you don’t worry about missing it. Good luck x

@Thefaceofboe Thank you

I'm saying I ovulated on the 29th I'm just purely going off my ovulation test results. I have never used them before so it can be hard to get your head around especially now that the result has fluctuated. Me and my partner have been DTD the deed frequently this month especially during my fertile window and when I had my peak.

Going off my test results I'm not sure if I could have ovulated sooner? I will do another ovulation test later today.

My ovulation tests kept testing positive for days and days. Turned out I was pregnant.

@justforthis7 that's amazing, I'm trying to remain hopeful 🙏

An ovulation test won’t pick up a pregnancy so soon. Some women can get false peaks before they actually ovulate. Their hormones do a sort of trial run before the main event. I would keep testing for a few days. Ovulation tests only give an indication of the hormone surge, which is useful if your body doesn’t do a trial run or if your body doesn’t have a quick peak and you can catch the hormones. You won’t have actually ovulated on the 29th though, you’d have likely have ovulated on the 30th or today, if that is your peak. The ovulation sticks pick up the surge in the LH hormone and then ovulation follows about 24-36 hours after that surge. I would go with the day after your peak as ovulation and count from then. You can start to get BFP at 8 days after ovulation (although not always, I got a BFN at 10dpo but I’m pregnant).

If it stays high for a few days, then I’d do a pregnancy test. In the meantime, I’d keep having sex.

It can be high after ovulation. That's why you shouldn't test anymore after the peak. Its just going to confuse you. Ovulation test also can be high before af arrives.
It can happen sometimes your body trying to ovulate but can't for some reason so looks like you ovulated twice ( always the second is right) but you got your peak before ( first line stronger than second as far as I can see) so I belive that when ovulation happened. How's your cervical mucus? I only relied on that when I got pregnant. Tests doesn't really tell you when ovulation exactly will happen but ewcm does.

@InTheNightWeWillWish & @Tina800

Thank you, I feel like I'm causing more confusion for myself by doing the opk's I thought they may help me track things better. I didn't need to do any ovulation tracking with my current two children as I fell pregnant very quickly.

My last period was 11th - 15th August and normally my cycles are 28 days.

I did notice on 26th August my cervical mucus was stretchy and trasparent so who knows, haven't checked since.
