I’m sorry if this isn’t the appropriate place but I’m torturing myself and have to wait until Wednesday for my next scan.
Had surgery in the first trimester which carried a risk of miscarriage, something like 30% chance so I hoped I’d be one of the lucky ones.
Scan the day before showed me at 6.2 with a good heartbeat, no issues. A week later and there wasn’t much growth and a slow heartbeat, so I’m having weekly scans and it doesn’t look good.
I have symptoms still and I can’t keep thinking what if? I know it’s unlikely but I wondered has anyone ever had that kind of thing at a scan and it turned out ok? Can a baby’s growth catch up? I know the heartbeat could be temporarily slow because of the transvaginal ultrasound but the growth feels more concerning.
That said, the scan was lost as the focus was on my ovaries so this scan is being treated as the sort of benchmark that the one on Wednesday will be compared to in terms of growth.
I just keep hoping the baby was at the wrong angle or something, but I am fully aware it’s likely just not going to end well
