It's just really worrying me as I don't know what's normal and what isn't and I'm scared it's something bad if It's not normal

It sounds like SPD. Do you have a midwife appointment coming up?

Oceanbliss · 18/08/2021 02:43

@Helloxxxxxx Hey I didn’t want to read and not respond. I don’t know if it’s normal or not. I didn’t feel anything like that in my pregnancy. Can you get to a doctor? They would be the best person to advise you and check you and unborn baby to see if everything is fine.

It is normal to have anxiety when you don’t know if something is right. So, don’t worry about seeing a doctor about this. Ok.

Good luck, hope everything is fine Flowers

Thanks for the advise it's just getting worse I am going to see who I can call in the morning . In the slightest movement causing such a worrying/painful feeling which is quite scary so I was just really worried x

Call 111 if you need advice tonight. Always best to get checked. Or do you have the number for your maternity assessment unit (should be on your pregnancy notes) They are usually open for calls 24/7 and won’t mind you calling at all.

jessicakxx · 18/08/2021 12:30

Hey, I had the exact same roughly 24 weeks. My baby has been in the head down position since then and head is engaged. My midwife said that's why it felt like he was going to fall out and was really heavy. I still have the same now, I hold my belly when walking downstairs xx

Mamamamasaurus · 18/08/2021 12:31

I know the feeling but I didn't get this until later in pregnancy

Have you called your midwife?

Helloxxxxxx · 19/08/2021 23:03

Hi guys today I have lost some mucus in the toilet it was white and enough to spot and see it seperating , do you think it's in relation to the pressure I was feeling ? It's my first pregnancy , idk wether it was the mucus plug ?

OP posts:
Mamamamasaurus · 20/08/2021 14:15

I don't think you have a plug at this stage, I thought it was created further along in pregnancy.

I'd speak to your midwife though, it could just be increased discharge

Mysleepingangel · 20/08/2021 14:36

Get to your nearest maternity unit asap.

This could be preterm labour. I'm not scaring you but I had similar and I'm glad I went in when I did.

Good luck x

Helloxxxxxx · 20/08/2021 14:38

@Mysleepingangel did you have any other signs of feel anything ? Xx

Ring your midwife with those symptoms. They will tell you if you need to be seen. They will honestly be kind and helpful.

Pissoi · 20/08/2021 14:42

You do have a mucus plug now, its fully formed around 12 weeks so if you think you are losing it you need to be checked over today. Really hope its not that and all is well Flowers

Frazzled2207 · 20/08/2021 14:44

I’d definitely call midwife if I were you

IGuessIdProbablyBeAnne · 20/08/2021 14:49

Call the midwife and be checked over.

I felt pressure high up, assumed it was the baby moving, but they were tightenings - at 28 weeks. They carried on until DS was born at 33 weeks. Pressure/movement/pain can be really hard to judge where it actually is.

You need to be checked over, hopefully everything is fine and it’s normal for you. But you should get checked out.

Best wishes OP.

MadeForThis · 20/08/2021 15:02

Call the midwife and get in for a scan xx

Mysleepingangel · 21/08/2021 12:41

@Helloxxxxxx no, just pressure feeling and some discharge tinged with blood.

Thing is, with preterm labour, discharge isn't always there. But this pressure feeling needs to be checked out.

Worse case scenario, I'm wrong. But if there's something going on, ie cervix is dilated, you could get a stitch and save your baby.

Have you been to the triage?

Oceanbliss · 22/08/2021 03:30

@Helloxxxxxx hope everything is ok Flowers

WaterIsBest · 22/08/2021 03:34

How are you OP?

custardbear · 22/08/2021 03:39

Did you see someone @Helloxxxxxx ? Hope all's well

Whatwillbetheendofus · 22/08/2021 07:17

Really hope you are OK OP

physicskate · 22/08/2021 09:06

Plug doesn't 'separate' (dissolve?). It's like a massive ball of snot.

I too hope you've been check by real medics and not Mumsnet warriors (like myself). They should be able to get to the root of what's happening.

Helloxxxxxx · 23/08/2021 01:10

Hi everyone I was checked out and there wasn't any concern thanks for everyone's help and advice xx

OP posts:
Helloxxxxxx · 23/08/2021 01:10
