Random question, but is it safe to have a bikini wax late in pregnancy? I am 33 weeks.

Yes I think so. I had one a week or two before my due date a few years ago and all was fine.

I had one at 37 weeks and delivered at 37+5 no issues x

I had one at 38+3 and baby will come later this week at 39+1 (planned CS). All has been fine! I figured it will be ages before I can have one again and wanted to feel at least a bit like my old self! I had read that it can hurt more during pregnancy as increased sensitivity but I didn't experience that. I did check that the waxing place were still happy to do it during late pregnancy, and it helps if they are experienced in dealing with pregnant clients as there are some limitations on your movements (eg can't lie flat back, might have reduced hip mobility, can't lie on your front for having backs of legs waxed etc etc)

The only thing I was advised was by my midwife - to try avoid shaving or waxing in my third trimester incase you get ingrown hair infections / other infections that require antibiotics. I still had a tidy up at 36 weeks because it was unbearable, guess who went into labour the next day!Grin

Oh gosh, concerned it will bring on labour now lol
