Hi! I am around 8 weeks pregnant and I am having pain in my bladder, almost the feeling of when you hold your wee in for hours?
Not hurting at all to wee.
When I press on my lower stomach it feels as though I am pressing a super full bladder that's been held for hours even though that is not the case.

Is this normal or do I need to contact the doctors? Sorry bit of a funny question it's just all new and unusual at the moments

TIA ❤️

Hey! I can’t 100% confirm as this is my first pregnancy too (now week 11) and I think I get the same thing as you describe. From around week 7, I’d have some days when my bladder felt really full and achey like I needed to go to the loo but when I did, not a lot came out. No burning or pain when I wee either. I’ve already had a scan and everything is progressing well and my samples have always come back clear, so no infection. I was told it’s just everything expanding and putting pressure on your bladder. I still get it now, every so often, so can only assume it’s normal!

@Yasmina22 thank you! Was thinking that would have been the case as only had bloods done a couple of days ago and a scan a couple of weeks ago and everything is spot on according to the midwife!

Thank you for that, not something I've heard of anyone mentioning anything like that yet so was a little concerned ! Glad everything is going well for you! Xxxx

That’s wonderful everything went well at your scan!
I completely know what you mean. Obviously people have said to me, oh the sickness can be bad and the tiredness but it’s all these little extras I knew nothing about that can send me into panic. I know I shouldn’t go reading things on the internet, but my google history is a sight for sore eyes haha.
I think we have to keep saying to ourselves as long as we have no bad pain or heavy bleeding, everything is most likely fine and the scans help so much. Fingers crossed!

Sounds very much like how I feel at the start of a UTI. I had 3 in early pregnancy (between 7-12 weeks) so might be worth mentioning to your GP. I know now when I get what feeling that I can ring up for antibitotics and nip it in the bud before it gets worse
