CSS tell her not to buy too much!

People are SO generous when a baby comes I was overwhelmed by the amount of gifts I was given & with so many well-wishers wanting to send her stuff she may well be swamped!

(or rather YOU will be!!)

Another thing that was fab was a small portable radio for those graveyard-shift feeds - at least I had the bbc world service, even if no one else could hear me scream!

And a little notepad to jot down which boob you're feeding on and how long she fed, because you may not remember for the next time (okay, that may only be for control freaks like me who tried to do 3-hr feeds and not on demand ...)

All quiet on the advice front- thinking of you Fran as the time approaches!! xx

Oh was looking for this thread the other day, hope your ok fran bit sad to see you are not with us anymore, hope you & Molly are ok & wishing you a very Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year

expatinscotland · 13/12/2007 13:46

Thinking of you, Fran, at this time!

I second the radio idea.

Sometimes, during the late night feeds, you can feel a little isolated, like you're the only one in the world up.

This can feel pretty special, like it's just you and little Molly alone in the entire universe.

But other times, when you're just really tired, that voice on the radio reminds you that others are there along side you.

Fran - hope all is well wherever you are and that Molly comes safely.

hope you're not too uncomfortable.

peatbogfaerie · 07/01/2008 10:45

another bump 'n' wave -- have you got a cosy wee bundle ..?

bossybritches · 08/01/2008 21:24

Oh I hope so by now- after all she's been through I expect she'll just sit & gaze in wonder at Molly's lovely little face & never put her down!
