3rd time mamas, how long was your labour compared to previous ones?

I’m due in 6 weeks and can’t stop thinking about what kind of birth I will have. With first it was 12 hours with epidural after 3rd hour and pretty smooth and relaxed. Second was less than 2 hours and very dramatic with hardly anytime before arriving to hospital and baby coming out.

Just wondering if third will be fast, slow, emcs, breach, etc etc. So anxious.

@Mamabearwhere also following, I’m due my 3rd soon and my previous 2 were pretty quick. I’m wondering if this means I should expect 3rd to be even quicker or will it be a total surprise and be the slowest of them all? Who knows?

Dc1 7hours, dc2 induced but 2hours once it started, dc3 about an hour from proper labour to birth. Hope all goes well for you

1st, about 24 hours start to finish. Easy
2nd, prolonged 2 day labour, emergency ventrouse
3rd, 6 hours back to back, most painful by far but job done
No more for me. No way of really knowing what kind of labour you'll have is there but I remember thinking about it a lot with the upcoming 3rd one. Good luck!

First 2 labours fast and straightforward, 3rd dc was slow and straightforward. Prepare yourself for the afterpains - no one told me how
Much more painful they would be 3rd time round

daisydalrymple · 10/08/2021 00:48

First 14 hours, ventouse
Second 7 hours G&A
Third 1 hr 15 mins G&A

All 3 were back to back

Dc1 and dc2 - 12 hours total labour each.
Dc3 - 21 hours. Also two weeks late which apparently can be the way it goes for third babies...

Oh gosh I should brace myself for the 3rd by the sounds of it
