Period like pain in bump at 18 weeks

Is this normal? It feels like aches rather than sharp pain, but it's been going on for a couple of days now and I'm getting a little anxious. I also can't feel any movements yet, even though I've been pregnant before - anything I should be doing/avoiding?

Any advice gratefully received!

It can be normal. Unless it’s coming and going like contractions then I wouldn’t worry too much.
Google ‘round ligament pain’

Thanks, @Ari202 - I did google round ligament pain, but it seems to be short bursts of pain. This has been aching pretty much all day, with intermittent sharp pain when moving. Does that still sound normal?

Well, that's not what my round ligament pain was like...

Now harm in trying to get hold of your midwife tomorrow.

Thanks, @Elbie79. I tried for ages today, but no one picks up the phone, and it seemed overkill to call the EPU. Disclaimer: it's been a bad year and I freely admit I'm utterly paranoid and anxious about this pregnancy, so I'm worried I'm making a fuss about nothing!

Did you manage to get through to anyone in the hospital, I hope you’re feeling better today

numberthirtytwoWindsorGardens · 10/08/2021 21:25

Oh, thanks, @Ari202, that's so nice! I spoke to a midwife, who said not to worry as long as there was no bleeding. I do feel a bit better today; still a bit uncomfortable, but less actual pain, so that's good. Got my 20 week scan next Friday, so hoping for good news then.

Thanks for checking in! Smile
