Hi,
I took a pregnancy test today which came back positive and it's caught me completely offguard.. I really didn't think we'd have any luck this time as I didn't have a positive ovulation stick but we gave it a go anyway!

Period is due in 3 days so it's very early doors and I'm trying to be calm and not get overexcited. The symptoms have hit me like a tonne of bricks though. I'm SO spotty I look like 14 year old me and I've had dreadful nausea all day and a raging headache.

Is it normal to go from 0-100 overnight?

This is my first pregnancy and it all feels a little surreal - no idea what to expect!

Hi,

I've just found out too! First time for me, I'm so tired and I can't stop eating! Would be great to keep in touch, I haven't told anyone yet other than my bf, boss and the HR dept at work Grin

Ahh that would be great! None of my friends have had children yet so I've no idea what to expect and only my partner knows so far! Would be lovely to keep in touch - are you okay if I message you?

Congratulations to you both!

I'm currently 23 weeks pregnant with my second child.

Symptoms deffo came out of nowhere once my brain realized I was pregnant (not just my body knowing it).

Congratulations to you both.

Thank you!

It's weird as I hadn't experienced anything until yesterday/today.. it's like a hormone switch has flipped and suddenly all come at once.

Still, I'm very grateful to be spotty, nauseated and pregnant!

I'd second the above.. symptoms came out of no where really suddenly in my early days of pregnancy. Then they settled down a bit for a few weeks and then increased 8n intensity at 7/8 weeks onwards. I'm now just shy of 22 weeks. The settling down a bit really worried me at first as I didn't realise that could happen so thought I'd share! X

Congratulations!

Congratulations both !

100% symptoms come from nowhere. I had no symptoms but took a test as we were trying and then the next morning BOOM hello morning sickness

Wallaroo21 · 07/08/2021 15:35

I was literally just saying to DH am I imagining my symptoms! I didn’t even know until this week and then discovered Im now 4+6 and I’m already feeling so tired and nauseous. My heart rate is up and I’m more breathless. How did I not have any symptoms a week ago!

Poptarts26 · 08/08/2021 07:25

Congratulations Wallaroo! Its a real rollercoaster of emotions.. today I feel absolutely fine and now I'm questioning the accuracy of the test.

Never thought I'd be longing for morning sickness!

Haha yes I've done 4 tests so far just to keep checking. It's going to be a long 9 months at this rate I feel!
